1. Data controller

The data controller for aundigital.com is AUN Digital, the technology arm of Advocacy Unified Network, Fluwelen Burgwal 58, 2511 CJ The Hague, Netherlands, reachable at info@aunetwork.org. This Policy covers aundigital.com only. Other properties in the AUN ecosystem — including aunetwork.org — publish their own privacy policies, which govern those sites.

2. What we collect

This site is deliberately minimal about data collection:

• Contact form submissions — the name, organisation, email address, topic and message you choose to submit. This is sent by email to our inbox; it is not written to a database, and no marketing list is built from it.
• Server logs — like any web server, ours records IP address, browser/device information, and pages requested, for security and abuse prevention. These logs rotate automatically and are not used to build visitor profiles.

We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking script on this site — you can confirm this yourself by inspecting the page source or your browser's network requests. We do not use non-essential cookies, so this site has no cookie banner because it has nothing to ask consent for.

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

• Legitimate interest — responding to enquiries you send us, and keeping the site secure.
• Consent — you give this by submitting the contact form; you can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your message (see Section 6).
• Legal obligation — where retention is required by Dutch statutory rules (for example, accounting records for any paid engagement).

4. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data, and we do not share contact-form submissions with third parties except: (a) our email and hosting providers, strictly as processors delivering and hosting this service; and (b) competent authorities where disclosure is required by law. Our hosting provider may process data outside the EEA; where that occurs, we rely on providers offering appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention and security

Contact-form emails are retained in our inbox only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting engagement, then deleted or archived under normal mailbox housekeeping. Server logs are rotated by our hosting provider on a short cycle. We apply reasonable technical measures — HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege administration — while noting that no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and may object to processing based on legitimate interest, by writing to info@aunetwork.org. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the data protection authority in your own country of residence.

7. Children

This site is intended for organisations and professionals; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the version on this page is the current one, with the "last updated" date at the top revised whenever it changes materially.
